Responding to
the Need
Our Food Pantry is located in the original Settlement House at 1400 W. Augusta Blvd., Chicago, IL 60642.
Food Pantry distribution takes place every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9 am - 12 pm.
Throughout our history, we have provided food and emergency services to the residents of the West Town community. In 1933, Settlement board members began distributing meals to neighborhood schools to feed students whose families were struggling with food insecurity during the Great Depression, serving an average of 4,000 meals per day.
That legacy lives on today, nearly 90 years later. We alleviate the immediate needs of the individuals and families we serve by providing access to food and other emergency needs and services with care, compassion, and dignity.

Golden Agers
Program
In addition to providing our neighbors with food and basic supportive services, we also host the Golden Agers Club, a senior citizens bingo club that provides socialization opportunities. We aim to create a warm, welcoming space where our neighbors and community members can interact with one another and develop meaningful and lasting relationships.
The Golden Agers Club meets Fridays from September through May from 10AM-12PM. Meetings are held at 1400 West Augusta Boulevard, Chicago IL 60642.
