President: Sarah Boulos The North Shore Board of Northwestern Settlement was founded in 1936 to raise funds to maintain The House In The Wood camp in Delavan, WI. The all-volunteer board hosts the annual House In The Wood Gala, and all proceeds directly benefit inner-city children attending our summer camp and outdoor education programs.
Throughout the year, the board volunteers at the camp and Settlement House including organizing Sunday Funday events during summer camp, and St. Patrick’s Day bingo with the Golden Agers, the Mother’s Day Gift Room for preschool and the Rowe Elementary after-school program scholars, serving Thanksgiving Dinner to Settlement neighbors, packing holiday dinner baskets and granting Adopt-A-Family wishes during the holidays.
